Breakfast was included, a paper voucher for each morning we stayed. It's a self-service buffet with quite a few options, including a waffle maker with green tea and plain mix options. There were a few different cold and hot drink machines too, and an impressive selection of leaf tea (white peach, many green teas, earl grey, rooibos stood out) so hopefully something to suit most people's tastes. The room was nice although a bit cramped around the bed. The bed and pillow were extremely comfortable -- they were much firmer than I expected, compared to the last hotel I stayed at with big very soft pillows. Here you just get one small, dense pillow, but I slept like a log every night except the first, putting that down to jet lag. Shower was plastic and creaked under foot but worked really well, and the toilet... well let's just say it does more for you than I expected, and makes European toilets look like stone age technology. A cotton/polyester yukata robe was provided and replaced/washed every night. No clothes iron but you could request one at the desk. Staff were friendly and spoke enough English for our purposes, although I would strongly recommend learning basic Japanese before arriving because they speak quickly in shops and COVID masks (still a thing in Japan at the moment) make it hard to hear speech clearly.

I love that the hotel is literally just seconds away from Magome Station; it was very convenient. We only stayed for one night as we had booked an Airbnb for the following dates. The room was a bit small for two people with 24-inch luggage each, but I liked that they provided an air purifier/humidifier in the room to help make it feel less stuffy. The bed was firm, but in a good way. I've never liked soft beds. The pillows were firm too, and I liked that. The staff, though not highly proficient in English, were incredibly helpful. We had no trouble communicating with them to request an iron and ironing board.

The single room was more spacious then it looked in the picture, and everything was clean. There is also multiple vending machines in and outside the hotel, there's also a 24 hour restaurant connected to the hotel and a convenient store opposite the hotel. The hotel is also next to the subway station, I was able to go to Shibuya, Akibahara and other points of interest within 20 minutes or less.

This was a very affordable, clean and quiet hotel, footsteps from the Magome train station. The room is for business so it basically fits a bed, small desk, bathroom and narrow hall to the door. That was fine for my stay, but it might not be suitable for those looking to stay for tourism and a want to place to return to to relax.

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend. And I am really glad he did. There were unexpected touches of Japanese hospitality that are above and beyond expectations. And the best secret was a Japanese interpretation of a European ‘bakery’ cafe located around the corner which was perfect for breakfast.
